What is Detox?
Detox or
detoxification for short is in general the removal of toxic
substances. It is one of the major functions of the
liver, lower gastrointestinal tract and kidneys, but can also
be achieved artificially by techniques such as dialysis and (in
a very limited number of cases) chelation
therapy.
If our body is
overloaded with toxins it could result in various symptoms
including constipation, stomach bloating, poor digestion,
fatigue, weight gain, poor concentration, headaches, poor skin,
depression, body odour and bad breath. With increased
environmental influences our body does not have the ability and
does not know how to remove these toxins circulating in the
bloodstream, thus they can accumulate and cause harmful effects
to body and mind.
